The NoSQL Era Has Ended- NewSQL & Converged Databases Are The Future
This fun-filled presentation will provide you with the education and tools to create a concrete strategy for planning your next database infrastructure, and to analyze if NewSQL and converged databases would be the best fit for your application.
The last 15 years have brought many new developments in data management strategies. Previously developers had the relational model as the dominant and nearly only paradigm for databases. Then in the early 2000s, the rise of NoSQL datastores enabled support for massive and convenient data ingestion. This model served multiple use cases including web analytics, complex event processing and streaming analytics bringing new options to developers and data architects. Over the last few years there has been a relational SQL renaissance powered by new hardware innovations.
In this presentation, we will look at some of those hardware innovations, the database innovations leveraging them, and the use cases that fit NewSQL and converged databases.
